Public Service Announcement: No Happy Endings this week…

November 6, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

Just in case you didn’t know, there’s a little thing called the US Presidential Election that’s mucking with the primetime television schedule tonight. Sorry Ebony and Ebony fans, there will be no ah-mah-zing times with the Happy Endings crew tonight. Go vote instead! And be sure to keep Penny’s (Casey Wilson) reproductive rights in mind when you check the ballot, especially those of you unwindulaxing in the swing state of Florida!

Revolution review – 1×07: ‘The Children’s Crusade’

November 6, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

An important mythology episode of Revolution is wrapped in a predictably blah mission of the week formula. Is it possible for the show to overcome its narrative malaise?

The Walking Dead review – 3×04: ‘Killer Within’

November 5, 2012 by tvangie

A mere four episodes into the season, The Walking Dead delivers a shocking, season finale-esque episode where we lose at least two members of the original cast. Will the bloodbath prove fruitful for the rest of the season?

Let’s bitch it out.

Revenge review – 2×06: ‘Illusion’

November 5, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

It just wouldn’t be an event in the Hamptons if someone wasn’t being murdered, cheated on, robbed or arrested, now would it? Thankfully it’s just one of the four. Read on to find out which one!

November 5, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

The identity of Henry’s (Jared Gilmore) father is revealed and he proves to also be the reason that Emma (Jennifer Morrison) doesn’t trust suave bad-boys. Plus, we get a lesson in how to de-age your leading lady!

Fringe examines the aftermath of a tragic death as we take a short break from the central quest of finding and decoding videotapes. How did Olivia (Anna Torv) and Peter (Joshua Jackson) deal with the loss of their daughter a second time?

Grimm review – 2×10: ‘The Hour Of Death’

November 3, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

Courtesy of NBC

Huh. Well that was certainly…unexpected. Eschewing a traditional case of the week formula, ‘The Hour Of Death’ offers a nice touch of mythology, a revelatory character twist and a smidgen of plot advancement on the Renard (Sasha Roiz) / Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) front.

More tweaks to the formula are present in this week’s episode of Elementary as we get a glimpse into Joan Watson’s (Lucy Liu) past as a surgeon. But is it enough to save us from the predicable case of the week?

The Vampire Diaries review – 4×04: “The Five”

November 1, 2012 by thedude35

A CURE?!! There’s a CURE?! Well I definitely wasn’t expecting that. But what I was expecting (and hoping for) is that The Vampire Diaries would finally find its footing – and it has happened. Now we’re suddenly on the search for a cure, Rebekah (Claire Holt) has been daggered again and Stefan (Paul Wesley) has made a deal with the devil. There’s so much to discuss!
