Well, now we know who August (Eion Bailey) is, although thanks to ABC’s promo department you likely figured that out sometime last week. As we close in on the season finale, are there any revelations left in the show?

After last week’s high concept episode, it was all business this week on Fringe. Even though we went into high-speed exposition mode in laying out David Robert Jones’ (Jared Harris) master plan, we still managed to some stellar emotional beats in this week’s offering.

This week Awake tries to deliver a bombshell twist outside of its central mythology, but mostly comes up lacking. As much as I appreciate the effort to do something more with Michael’s (Jason Isaacs) personal life (outside of the case of the week), this…is not the direction that I would have chosen.

If we look at this week’s episode as a chapter of a weekly television series with continuing storylines, the live episode is pretty lightweight, even for this season’s relatively lax standards. But as a twenty-one minute piece of blatant yet absolutely enjoyable fan service? ‘Live from Studio 6H’ passes with flying colors – while wearing angel wings and singing “Zou Bisou Bisou.”

After looking at the previews for last night’s episode a few weeks ago, I’ll admit that I was dreading the latest episode of Smash. Surprisingly enough, I thought it was one of, if not the best, episodes of the series thus far.

What a difference a week makes! Last week we saw the arrival of the highly anticipated and universally lauded new HBO show Girls. Well those rosy reviews are old news, and we spent the better part of the last week exploring an almost immediate backlash to the once golden child. How can we possibly talk about this week’s episode when there is so much being said about the series itself?

Mad Men switches up its storytelling techniques this week, showing us three concurrent stories of Peggy (Elisabeth Moss), Roger (John Slattery) and Don (Jon Hamm). Likely to be polarizing to many viewers, I didn’t find the narrative deviation distracting as the episode was still ripe with symbolism and character development.
