Damages review – 5×07: ‘The Storm’s Moving in’

August 23, 2012 by tvangie

Courtesy of DirecTV

With only a few episodes of Damages left ever, we got everything but the kitchen sink thrown into this week’s offering. Even with every conceivable plot element crammed in all at once, the episode still took its time when it came to Patty (Glenn Close) vs. Ellen (Rose Byrne) in a highly-anticipated confrontation.

Let’s bitch it out…

Flashback review – The West Wing 2×19-2×20: ‘Bad Moon Rising’ and ‘The Fall’s Gonna Kill You’

There’s a reason why the ninth circle of hell is reserved for those who betray. Bartlet (Martin Sheen), who’s been the champion of moral leadership, has been outed to the staffers who’ve trusted him most all these years, and I put it lightly when I say that they aren’t taking it well. But on the upside, it makes for fantastic television for us viewers.

“What’s next?” Find out after the jump…

Ending months of speculation, the BBC has announced that the seventh series of Doctor Who will premiere Saturday, Sept 1 in the UK and a week later, Saturday, Sept 8 in the US (on BBC America) at 9 EST. (Update: it appears new episodes will air the same day in the UK and US in an effort to curb US illegal downloads)

Bunheads review – 1×10: ‘A Nutcracker in Paradise’

August 21, 2012 by yellowwait

She dances and sings!!! It’s summer finale time on Bunheads and while things had been running smoothly for our girls, there was plenty of drama to be had in this episode. But who cares about the drama? Can we talk about the fabulous Cabaret number Foster did? Perhaps we should dish on the drama first.

Let’s review.

Grimm review – 2×02: ‘The Kiss’

The second episode of Grimm‘s sophomore season proves to be significantly more satisfying compared to last week’s ho-hum premiere. Plus death and naked flesh!

Breaking Bad review – 5×06: ‘Buyout’

After last week’s tension-filled final scene, this week’s Breaking Bad immediately deals with the heartbreaking aftermath of tarantula boy’s death. We also get some insight behind Walt’s (Bryan Cranston) motivations and one of the most hilariously awkward “family” dinners in television history.

Let’s take a closer look after the jump.

Lost Girl review – 2×18: ‘Fae-nted Love’

August 17, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

We’re almost ready to head into the home stretch of Lost Girl‘s second season. First we just have to wrap up a few loose ends: namely Ryan (Anthony Lemke) and Dyson (Kris Holden-Ried). And while neither storyline is satisfactorily resolved, at least we have modicum of closure.

Awkward. review – 2×08: ‘Time After Time’

August 17, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

Last week was the wedding heard round the world: sl*tbag harpy Ally (Barret Swatek) tied the knot, but the real fireworks went down when high school shrew Sadie (Molly Tarlov) spilled the beans that Jake (Brett Davern) was Jenna’s (Ashley Rickards) sloppy second after – dum dum dum – Matty McKibben (Beau Mirchoff)! Sh*t’s about to go down.
