Teen Wolf review – 2×08: ‘Raving’

July 17, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

Teen Wolf flashes back to the year 2000 as we hit a rave, complete with glow sticks, warehouse dancing and, of course, giant reptile werewolves killing people. Well…two out of three ain’t bad.

July 16, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

‘Hopeless’ brings the current season of True Blood to its halfway point and it’s time to re-evaluate how we’re feeling about S5. Sample question: where the eff is this season going?!

Breaking Bad review- 5×01: ‘Live Free or Die’

July 16, 2012 by tvangie

The first part of Breaking Bad’s final season kicked off last night with an opening sequence that gives us a peek into Walter’s (Bryan Cranston) impending future. Not only can we expect him to grow a full head of hair and lumberjack beard (complemented by a new pair of specs) but we can also anticipate a far more despondent, broken Walter.

Let’s take a closer look after the jump.

The Newsroom review – 1×04: ‘I’ll Try to Fix You’

July 16, 2012 by Bitch Stole My Remote

A bevy of talented actresses grace the screen this week, from regulars Emily Mortimer and Alison Pill, to guest stars Katherine Hahn and Hope Davis. It’s just too bad their characters are all written like jealous harpies driven to excess by their possession of lady parts. But don’t worry, because Will McAvoy comes to the rescue to “civilize” these women and their brutish ways.

Let’s bitch it out have a reasonable yet critical discussion of this week’s episode…

Continuum review – 1×07: ‘The Politics Of Time’

July 16, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

Let’s get personal, Continuum friends. Carlos (Victor Webster) is keeping almost as many secrets as Kiera (Rachel Nichols) in episode seven of the show. And he might be into kinky sex? Oh my!

Awkward. review 2×03 – ‘Three’s A Crowd’

July 13, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

Courtesy of MTV

The time we’ve all feared arrives in episode three of Awkward.‘s second season: we hit saturation point on the whole Jenna (Ashley Rickards), Jake (Brett Davern) and Matty (Beau Mirchoff) love triangle. The result is not only not pretty, it’s not very funny.

Damages review – 5×01: ‘You Want to End This Once and for All?’

July 12, 2012 by tvangie

Courtesy of DirecTV

Damages returned last night for its fifth and final season. Looks like we’re finally going to get a long awaited courtroom showdown between Patty (Glenn Close) and Ellen (Rose Byrne). The reveal that Ellen might be dead would normally have been a Damages’  jaw-dropping shocker come episode’s end, but instead elicits indifferent shrugs because we’ve seen it months ago in the Season 5 teaser trailers. Is this poor marketing tactic an indication of a disappointing season to come?

Let’s bitch it out.

July 12, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! This week’s Dallas had just a touch of everything. And thankfully the show didn’t forget to include some ridiculous eyebrow action after sending JR (Larry Hagman) away last week. Whew!
