Justified recap – 3×06: ‘When The Guns Come Out’

February 23, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

After last week’s Dewey Crowe-centric episode, Justified loses a little bit of focus this week. As we head into the second half of the season, it’s clear that the players are beginning to take their places on the battlefield. On the plus side, Limehouse (Mykelti Williamson) confirms that he’s leaving the sidelines, which means that Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) and Quarles (Neal McDonough) had better watch their backs!

Let’s bitch it out…

The River recap – 1×04: ‘A Better Man’

February 22, 2012 by tvangie

The River continues to lose momentum with a dud of an episode this week. After only four episodes, the show is losing its novelty and my interest is dropping as quickly as the ratings are.

Let’s break it down after the jump:

Smash recap – 1×03: ‘Enter Mr. DiMaggio’

February 21, 2012 by tvangie

This week on Smash we thankfully got less Katherine McPhee which made the episode much more bearable. Not many musical numbers – but we got a new character with some serious pipes to compensate and one that took an unpredictable u-turn.

Let’s take a closer look after the jump:

Lost Girl recap – 1×06: ‘Food For Thought’

February 20, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

Last week’s Lost Girl was a high for the series: it had great fights, interesting new Fae, and moved the Bo (Anna Silk) / Dyson (Kris Holden-Reid) dynamic forward. This week’s episode, ‘Food For Thought’ proved just as solid as the central conflict concerned the well-being of  Kenzi (Ksenia Solo) – arguably the show’s breakout star – and marked the return of hot doc, Lauren (Zoie Palmer).

The Walking Dead recap – 2×09: ‘Triggerfinger’

February 20, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

Last week AMC’s zombie show roared back to life with its Winter premiere and an absolutely gripping final showdown between Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and a pair of human survivors armed with guns and malicious intent. Will the follow-up, ‘Triggerfinger,’ satisfy fans of the high drama & action from last week?

Let’s bitch it out…

Once Upon A Time recap – 1×13: ‘What Happened To Frederick’

February 19, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

Sooo…I haven’t been too kind to ABC’s fairytale show the last few weeks, but I swear it’s only because I think it has so much potential that it’s not living up to. Is tonight’s Prince Charming-centric episode a return to solid ground for the struggling show?

Let’s break it down…

February 17, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

A call to ‘Daddy’ two episodes ago pays off as John Blackwell (Joe Lando) arrives in Chance Harbour and his name is on everyone’s tongue. So why does this episode feel like so much of the same?

Let’s bitch it out…Beware: Rant ahead! [Read more…]
