July 30, 2012 by tvangie

We’re back in business this week on Breaking Bad as Walt (Bryan Cranston) continues further into his depths of depravity. Even with every base seemingly covered, why does this new cook operation feel like it’s going to implode at any moment?

Let’s take a closer look after the jump.

True Blood review – 5×08: ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’

July 30, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

With its eighth episode, True Blood reaches the 2/3 mark for the season. Unlike last season, however, the vamp drama shows no signs of coalescing its many, many storylines into something cohesive as we continue to balance roughly a gillion plots and characters.

Compared to the films I’ve seen at Fantasia Film Festival, the performance film Play Dead is an altogether different beast. Funny, engaging and made to make a viewing audience both squirm and yearn – it’s unlike anything I’ve seen at the festival before.

For the next few days, yellowwait and I are hanging out in Montreal, taking in a number of films as part of the Fantasia Film Festival. I’ll be posting some thoughts on the films we see when I have a chance. For now, let’s begin with the world premiere of independent psychological horror film, Toad Road.

It’s back into the ring as Patty (Glenn Close) and Ellen (Rose Byrne) duke it out in round three of the final season of Damages. After having bested Ellen last week with the judge switch-up, does Patty lose this round to even things out?

Let’s take a closer look after the jump.
