The Walking Dead review – 3×14: ‘Prey’

March 18, 2013 by tvangie

The Walking Dead extinguishes any ambiguity regarding character motivations as we get nearer and nearer to what promises to be an explosive season finale. As much as we’ve groaned about Andrea’s (Laurie Holden) stupidity, does she really deserve to be bound and gagged in The Governor’s (David Morrissey) torture chamber?

Let’s bitch it out. [Read more…]

Once Upon A Time review – 2×17: ‘Welcome To Storybrooke’

March 18, 2013 by Joe Lipsett

We’ve already seen two prequel episodes on ABC’s sister show, Revenge, but this is the first time we’re visiting the past history of Storybrooke on Once Upon A Time. There’s always a fear that these episodes only tell us what we already know (since we already know the outcome), to which I say…perhaps you missed the reappearance of a certain hunky Sheriff?

Let’s bitch it out… [Read more…]

Spartacus: War Of The Damned review – 3×07: ‘Mors Indecepta’

March 16, 2013 by Joe Lipsett

Trapped in between armies on a snowy mountain ridge with a horrific snow storm approaching isn’t great for morale. ‘Mors Indecepta’ shows that such conditions can easily  lead to a battle of the bros as Crixus (Manu Bennett) and Spartacus (Liam McIntyre) fight it out AGAIN in the battle for dominance of the slave rebellion.

Grimm review – 2×14: ‘Natural Born Wesen’

March 16, 2013 by Joe Lipsett

We learn more about the Wesen community as Grimm‘s second season continues. And while this episode doesn’t really do much beyond a case of the week format, it does provide some interesting insight into the structure and hierarchy of this world.

Parks and Recreation review – 5×16: ‘Bailout’

March 15, 2013 by Bitch Stole My Remote

With this episode, Parks and Recreation puts to bed any concerns that the post-marital episodes would lose any of the series’ spark.

Let’s break it down… [Read more…]

Elementary review: 1×18 – ‘Déjà Vu All Over Again’

March 15, 2013 by tvangie

It’s definitely a case of déjà vu this week on Elementary – it’s a veritable The Wire reunion! Do the stellar guest stars (Pryzbylewski! Bubbles! Burners!) inject some intrigue into the case-of-the-week episode?

The Vampire Diaries review – 4×16: ‘Bring It On’

March 15, 2013 by thedude35

There used to be some magic to this show… but this week’s episode makes me wonder whether the magic burned up in the Gilbert house with poor Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen).

Justified review – 4×10: ‘Get Drew’

March 13, 2013 by Joe Lipsett

Courtesy of FX

The hunt to find Drew Thompson (Jim Beaver) aka Sheriff Shelby enters its second stage as Justified powers towards its fourth season finale. The big difference is that now Drew and Ellen May (Abby Miller) are both in the mix. And an old favourite is back on the scene to add to the chaos.

Smash review – 2×06: ‘The Fringe’

March 13, 2013 by yellowwait

Another week, another ho hum episode of Smash. While season two has been much more enjoyable then season one, there are still moments and plot points that make me shake my head. At least in this episode we get another killer song from Hit List to add to our playlists.

Lost Girl review – 3×08: ‘Fae-ge Against The Machine’

March 12, 2013 by Joe Lipsett

The Dawning has begun…or rather the trials and tribulations that comprise the invitation to enter The Dawning. Holy mackerel – if this is just the prelude, what kinds of feats and adventures should we expect from the real deal?! Maybe Tamsin (Rachel Skarsten) isn’t kidding Bo (Anna Silk) when she suggests that this is the hardest thing she’ll ever do.
