Every once in a while, a show will have a bad episode. It’s normal – a fact of life when you’re producing 42-44 minutes of television on a weekly basis. But then every other once in a while, an episode isn’t simply bad; it’s downright awful. I’ve mentioned a few times how challenging Game Of Thrones can be to recap. There’s often an urge to try and find an overarching theme that unifies the episode and inevitably everyone seems to identify a different one. It’s time to find out if Astrid (Jasika Nicole) survives her gunshot wound, if September’s (Michael Cerveris) prophecy about Olivia’s death comes true and get some resolution to William Bell’s (Leonard Nimoy) and David Robert Jones’ (Jared Harris) plot to destroy the two universes and create a new world of their own.

Well this is bittersweet. Literally half way through the episode, I received word from TVAngie that NBC had cancelled Awake (awkward!). It’s especially disappointing considering that ‘Say Hello To My Little Friend’ is easily one of the best episodes the series has produced thus far.
