April 20, 2012 by Bitch Stole My Remote

Look out! It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s… character growth! In the span of a single week, Liz decides to keep pursuing adoption, Jenna commits to Paul, and Jack successful sells defective couches. Alright so maybe they don’t all make great leaps forward, but two out of three is still something to get excited about.

Awake hits the skids in a less than stellar episode that highlights the persistent issues I have with the show.

It’s been three weeks since we last saw our intrepid crew of teen witches. In the last new episode, ‘Sacrifice’ John Blackwell (Joe Lando) gave them a mission: find the Elders’ crystals and unite them to protect themselves against the witch hunters. Tonight the show takes another leap forward as several crystals are discovered, and two big events occur which are sure to have a a big impact on the remaining in the season.

Hey folks, remember six weeks ago when we were watching this great nighttime soap loosely based on The Count of Monte Cristo that starred that chick from Everwood and Brothers & Sisters? Obviously you do or else why would you be here? But you’d be forgiven if you had forgotten, since it’s been forevah since the last episode of the most addictive new TV show this season!

Let’s dig in…and dish out some REVENGE [Read more…]

Ringer recap – 1×22: ‘I’m The Good Twin’

April 18, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

Back in the fall, Ringer was on most people’s radar with the return of Sarah Michelle Gellar playing dual roles in a taut, psychological thriller. The show was broody, soapy and adult. It had a great supporting cast. Fast forward twenty-two episodes later as Ringer airs its finale as a bubble show with a questionably murky future. This might be the last time I ever get to gently mock the show! Oh Ringer! Sniff…

Smash recap – 1×11: ‘The Movie Star’

April 17, 2012 by tvangie

It was another frustrating episode this week on Smash, riddled with plot points that no one really cares about. There were a couple of saving graces, but on the whole, this episode was a dud.
