Revenge review – 2×01: ‘Destiny’

October 1, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

After a long, hot summer, it’s good to return to the Hamptons, isn’t it? The second season of ABC’s not-so-guilty pleasure takes us back to the beach, the b*tching and the drama as Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) continues her mission of REVENGE! Oh it feels good to write that again.

Let’s bitch it out… [Read more…]

Grimm review – 2×05: ‘The Good Shepherd’

It’s been nearly a month since Grimm aired its last new episode (Sept 4 to be exact) so the big question on my mind going into the show’s fifth episode is…what is this about again? In all seriousness, it seems likely that NBC’s attempt at generating some momentum by debuting the show’s second season back in August is all but doomed to fail now. You don’t bench a show for four weeks and then expect casual viewers to notice it’s back on the schedule on Friday evenings *smacks forehead*

One of the most anticipated new series this fall, Elementary has proven to be another buzz-worthy show. But, as we ask of all the new shows this season, does it live up to the hype?

Let’s bitch it out.

Parks and Recreation review – 5×02: “Soda Tax”

Sugar highs and existential crises? Aside from making a killer band name, these words also describe the antics of another fun episode of Parks and Recreation. But before we break out the child-sized sodas (sodas the size of a liquefied 2 year-old child) in celebration, I will notee that there are still a few snags in the believability department.

Let’s take a closer look after the jump… [Read more…]

Parks and Recreation review – 5×01: ‘Ms. Knope Goes to Washington’

Someone’s been putting glitter in the detergent again, and that can only mean one thing: Parks and Recreation is back! And what a season premiere this episode is. Last season’s finale really shook up the world of Leslie and company with her election win and Ben and April’s move to D.C. And if this episode is any indication, those changes have given new life to the show.

Let’s dig in to this fantastic premiere… [Read more…]
