Sugar highs and existential crises? Aside from making a killer band name, these words also describe the antics of another fun episode of Parks and Recreation. But before we break out the child-sized sodas (sodas the size of a liquefied 2 year-old child) in celebration, I will notee that there are still a few snags in the believability department.

Let’s take a closer look after the jump… [Read more…]

Parks and Recreation review – 5×01: ‘Ms. Knope Goes to Washington’

Someone’s been putting glitter in the detergent again, and that can only mean one thing: Parks and Recreation is back! And what a season premiere this episode is. Last season’s finale really shook up the world of Leslie and company with her election win and Ben and April’s move to D.C. And if this episode is any indication, those changes have given new life to the show.

Let’s dig in to this fantastic premiere… [Read more…]

You know you’ve got a great finale if your protagonist stands in the middle of church and calls God a “feckless thug” and that isn’t even its most memorable moment. The end of the exemplary second season is upon us, and these episodes bring out the best The West Wing has to offer.

Flashback review – The West Wing 2×19-2×20: ‘Bad Moon Rising’ and ‘The Fall’s Gonna Kill You’

There’s a reason why the ninth circle of hell is reserved for those who betray. Bartlet (Martin Sheen), who’s been the champion of moral leadership, has been outed to the staffers who’ve trusted him most all these years, and I put it lightly when I say that they aren’t taking it well. But on the upside, it makes for fantastic television for us viewers.

Welcome to the show people! With one little tip of the hand by Veep John Hoynes, the election changes course entirely and Toby’s whole world seems to crumble around him.

Sorkin ends “The War at Home” with a marriage on the brink and a campaign on the rise. What does he follow it up with? Pot jokes, petulant daughters, and lunatic mapmakers Cartographers for Social Equality.
