April 23, 2013 by Joe Lipsett

After a tragedy-related week off, Revolution returns with a bomb-themed episode (too soon?) that advances the show’s mythology in leaps and bounds. So what does the detour into the Georgia Federation mean for Miles (Billy Burke) and co.?

Well, it’s finally here, opening night for Bombshell. After all the work, all the cast changes, and of course all the drama, the big night is here and it all comes down to this. Will Ivy (Megan Hilty) show everyone why she was the only choice for Marilyn? Will Tom’s (Christian Borle) direction be as brilliant as Derek’s (Jack Davenport)? Will Eileen (Angelica Huston) have a smash on her hands or will it be a bomb? And most importantly, will someone explain to me why Emory Cohen is there? Let’s bitch.

Smash review – 2×11: ‘The Dress Rehearsal’

April 14, 2013 by yellowwait

As Bombshell goes into previews, technical difficulties arise and so do ticket sales with the help of a little full frontal. Meanwhile Hit List has some major structural changes a few hours before a big preview. So is Derek (Jack Davenport) a visionary or a jealous old man? Maybe both?

Hannibal review – 1×02: ‘Amuse-Bouche’

April 12, 2013 by Joe Lipsett

Last week, Hannibal introduced a brand new vision of the Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) saga with stunning tableaux of death and surreal dream-like imagery. Does week two of NBC’s reboot continue to amaze?
