Hannibal review – 1×06: ‘Entrée’

May 3, 2013 by Joe Lipsett

Another week, another stand-out episode of Hannibal. ‘Entrée’ marks the most direct connection to the series’ source material, Red Dragon and, of course, The Silence Of The Lambs. How does the homage fair?

Let’s bitch it out… [Read more…]

Grimm review – 2×19: ‘Endangered’

In a vote of confidence NBC moves Grimm to the plum post-The Voice timeslot on Tuesday. But with greater exposure comes greater risk, so how does this entry fare?

Revolution review – 1×15: ‘Home’

April 30, 2013 by Joe Lipsett

Old loves return to Revolution as girlfriends and wives past come back to haunt the present. It’s all very blah until a final juicy twist offers lots of promising developments to come.

Smash review – 2×13: ‘The Producers’

April 28, 2013 by yellowwait

Deal-breaker! That’s it, I am officially annoyed with this season. After a mediocre start to the second season, Smash commits a cardinal sin: killing off a character that I like. Also the writers decide to make one of the worst couples ever to exist on television happen.

Parks and Recreation review – 5×21: ‘Swing Vote’

April 26, 2013 by Bitch Stole My Remote

By Parks and Recreation’s high standards, this is a fairly weak episode. But as always, there are plenty of great moments to still make it worthwhile.

Hannibal review – 1×05: ‘Coquilles’

April 26, 2013 by Joe Lipsett

Due either to the Boston City bombings or the unease of children’s violence in the wake of Sandy Hook, Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller elected not to screen episode 1×04 ‘Oeuf’. Instead, an amalgated version of the episode can be found as a six part web series on the NBC website that should ideally be viewed before episode five. If you haven’t watched them, it’s still possible to tackle ‘Coquilles’, though we’ll tackle both “episodes” in the following review since they both contain important developments.
