It’s character rehab time on Scandal: Fitz’s (Tony Goldwyn) impeachment trial is moving forward, while Leo (Paul Adelstein) is called in to rebuild Liv’s (Kerry Washington) “mistress narrative” in the wake of the scandal.
Let’s bitch it out…
Your regular reviewer couchpotato is taking a few weeks off, so here’s a round-up of the reviews of ‘You Got Served’. Here’s what everyone has to say:
TVLine says: “It’s going to take a few more glasses of Malbec for me to get on board with whatever’s going on with Jake and his new, sorta ex-wife Elise”
The AV Club says: ““You Got Served” comes along that nails everything. And we remember why we watch Scandal, and why we will likely continue to do so until Olivia and Fitz open a jam factory/old folks home in Vermont.”
EW.com says: “Liv is a lot more in-control than she was last episode when cruel internet strangers drove her to tears”
New York Daily News says: “Patty is my new favorite character. She’s rude and she’s brash and she’s antagonistic, which is exactly what “Scandal” has been missing; it got too weepy and now it’s angry again. Angry “Scandal” is the best “Scandal.”
Refinery says: “It’s a walk down Olivia’s exes tonight. Basically this is a continuation of A Christmas Carol or the pre-McConaissance movie Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past.”
What are your thoughts on the episode? Are you hoping for a Cyrus comeback? Do you like Liv being more proactive? Are you glad the line about wine and popcorn snuck in? Sound off below.
Scandal airs Thursdays at 9pm EST on ABC
