Nashville review – 1×16: ‘I Saw The Light’

April 4, 2013 by Joe Lipsett

The Red Lips/White lies tour is taking Manhattan by storm and there’s drama aplenty.

Let’s bitch it out…Your regular TV reviewer, thedude, is away on vacation this week, so here’s a recap of what other reviewers are saying across the interwebs.

If you want a straight-up recap with some sass, check out Ashley Spurgeon‘s take from Nashville Scene.

Max Weiss of Vulture.com explores different jealousies, but he’s happy that Rayna’s (Connie Britton) girls get some time in the limelight.

Todd VanDerWerff of AV TV Club is disappointed that the series is squandering the hot streak from its February episodes “on things that are often pleasant but far from exciting.”

Come back next week when thedude returns to tackle the theme of temptation (at least that’s what ABC’s promos want us to believe)
