Bunheads review – 1×09: ‘No One Takes Khaleesi’s Dragons’

Maybe it’s the delicious coffee I was drinking or the great nap I had beforehand, but this week’s episode of Bunheads was the best so far this season. Sherman-Palladino has worked her magic again ’cause the show is now a well oiled machine, with the welcome addition this week of Sean Gunn.

Let’s review! [Read more…]

With the glorious return of Fanny (Kelly Bishop), this week’s episode offers us wonderful dancing, new love interests and an episode that easily incorporates all our beloved characters together.

Bunheads review – 1×07: ‘What’s Your Damage, Heather?’

After last week’s dance of rage, Sasha (Julia Goldani Telles) seems to be spiraling down the evil rabbit hole, to no one’s amusement.  Meanwhile, Michelle (Sutton Foster) is finally teaching, but the sense of purpose we thought she would get from it is nowhere to be found.  Well played, ASP.  What we do get is an episode where relationships are tested and Fanny’s (Kelly Bishop) presence is sorely missed.

In this week’s Bunheads review, we experience an eternal dilemma that has plagued reviewers for many millennia: How is it that with so many storylines colliding in a single episode, nothing actually happens?

Bunheads review – 2×05: ‘Money For Nothing’

This week, the people of Paradise finally start to ask themselves what we have been asking since episode two, what the hell is Michelle (Sutton Foster) doing in Paradise? We also get some fine lessons in economics from Fanny (Kelly Bishop).

Let’s discuss.

Bunheads review – 1×04: ‘Better Luck Next Year’

The big day is here! No – not the season finale, but the Joffrey auditions!! Unlike other shows, Bunheads decided not to use the auditions as a big finale build up. Instead we get mini-dramas, but more character development (Side Note: Take note, Glee). Meanwhile Michelle (Sutton Foster) starts settling into Paradise, even getting Truly (Stacey Oristano) to make her some curtains, yet we are still left wondering just what she is doing there exactly.

Let’s bitch. [Read more…]
