July 24, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

Put on your elastic chin hats, people, because Teen Wolf is in the mood to party. After reviving the rave circuit last week, it’s time to celebrate dear Lydia’s (Holland Roden) birthday, although as our villain suggests, someone is crashing the partay.

Continuum review – 1×08: ‘Playtime’

July 23, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

In a mostly standalone episode, Continuum plays puppet vs puppeteer as it tackles free-will and the future tech of gaming. Despite the lack of overall mythology, I really enjoyed the episode. Wanna know why?

Everyone is reinventing themselves in the appropriately titled “In The Beginning’, which offers a lot of breathing room to dig deep into who, or what, our characters have become as we head into the second half of the season.

July 22, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

After just a few days, Lost Girl is back. Whether it’s the lack of time between that great 13th episode and this one, or simply because this episode is all surface and no depth, ‘Midnight Lamp’ is a bust.

Awkward. review – 2×04: “Are You There God? It’s Me, Jenna”

July 20, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

After last week’s triangle take-over, Awkward. dials back the Jake (Brett Davern) vs Matty (Beau Mirchoff) drama to refocus on Jenna (Ashley Rickards). Does the show rediscover its mojo?

Dallas review – 1×07: ‘Collateral Damage’

July 18, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

It’s our first mostly JR (Larry Hagman) free episode of the all-new Dallas, which gives us a sneak peek into what the show looks like without the elder generation of Ewings kicking around. So what’s the verdict?
