Watch With Us: January 2014

January 5, 2014 by Bitch Stole My Remote

Watch With Us Jan 2014

It’s a new year, which means we’ve got new shows to cover and several returning shows to help get you through the cold Winter months.

Let’s bitch it out…

Time to break down our January coverage (aka the last month of good TV before the Olympics ruin everything).

–Already begun: Grimm S3B

Sunday, Jan 5

Revenge S3B: What will become of Emily (Emily VanCamp) now that her fiancé Daniel (Josh Bowman) has shot her in a drunken stupor on their wedding night? One word: amnesia. Our reaction: Ugh. Let’s hope this is only a phase… (9pm, ABC)

  • See where we left off

Monday, Jan 6

Teen Wolf S3B: The wolf pack is back with new challenges. Now that Deucalion (Gideon Emery) has been sent away, the repercussions of Scott (Tyler Posey), Alison (Crystal Reed) and Stiles’ (Dylan O’Brien) actions seem poised to dominate the remainder of the season. (10pm, MTV)

Tuesday, Jan 7

Justified S5: Coming off one of its best seasons to date, Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) is back. This time he has the entire Crowe clan to deal with, including new troublemaker, Darryl Crowe Jr (Michael Rapaport). Bonus points: Jere Burns’ Wynn Duffy has been promoted to series regular. (10pm, FX)

  • See where we left off

Wednesday, Jan 8

American Horror Story: Coven: Magical ladies unite! Let the battle of the sexes begin as Marie Laveau (Angela Bassett) hesitantly joins forces with Fiona (Jessica Lange) and the Robichaux girls against the witch hunters. This can only end in bloodshed (10pm, FX)

  • See where we left off

Friday, Jan 10

Helix S1: This is essentially a series version of The Thing, only we get a ring side seat to watch the shit hit the fan. A mysterious outbreaks infects the staff of an isolated medical station and things get worse from there. The kicker is that this is from Ronald D. Moore – aka Mr. Battlestar: Galactica. (10pm, Syfy)

Tuesday, Jan 14

The Originals S1B: Will Klaus (Joseph Morgan) ever forgive his siblings? Will he kill his pregnant werewolf hostage after she delivers his bastard child? Will Camille (Leah Pipes) and Davina (Danielle Campbell) overthrow the boys and make New Orleans their bitch? Only the third question matters. (8pm, The CW)

  • See where we left off

Wednesday, Jan 15

Arrow 2B: How long will it take Ollie (Stephen Amell) to figure out that Slade (Manu Bennett) is alive and calling the shots for the supersoldier program? That’s unimportant. All we want to know is what’s happening with Laurel’s (Katie Cassidy) addiction problems <snark> (8pm, The CW)

  • See where we left off

Sunday, Jan 19

Sherlock S3: Taking a brief reprieve from their massive movie careers, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman reprise their roles as Holmes and Watson in the BBC’s far superior interpretation of Conan Doyle’s tales. Front and center is how Holmes survived his fall in S2’s finale (10pm, PBS).

Monday, Jan 20

Sleepy Hollow S1B: We’re still not sure where Ichabod’s (Tom Mison) son is (he’s clearly not actually dead), but it seems like the apocalypse is closer than ever as FOX’s smash hit returns to wrap-up its 13 episode freshman season. (9pm, FOX)

  • See where we left off

Thursday, Jan 23

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59baeeDM1Jw

The Vampire Diaries S5B: The CW’s biggest existing hit celebrates its 100th episode in typical over the-top-fashion. Can’t wait to see the fall-out of the mid-season finale (fake deaths, break-ups and more made-up backstory with Ian Somerhalder’s Damon). (8pm, The CW)

  • See where we left off

–Coming in February The Walking Dead (Feb 9), Scandal S3B (Feb 27) & Hannibal S2 (Feb 28)
