Scandal 5×06 ‘Get Out Of Jail, Free’ review round-up

October 30, 2015 by Bitch Stole My Remote

Courtesy of ABC

Liv (Kerry Washington) must decide if perjury is better a quickie, shotgun wedding ton Fitz (Tony Goldwyn). Plus Mellie (Bellamy Young) plots a gamechanger…courtesy of Rowan (Joe Morton)?!

Let’s bitch it out…

Your regular reviewer couchpotato is taking one more week off, so we’re doing a round-up of the reviews of ‘Get Out Of Jail, Free’. Here’s what everyone has to say:

TVLine says: “By now, we’ve come to expect the final minutes of a Scandal episode to provide plenty of shock and awe, and tonight’s closing scenes didn’t disappoint.”

The AV Club says: “It’s all so convoluted that I’m sitting here trying to unravel where Scandal went so very wrong. And I can point to my personal common denominator as to when things are terrible on Scandal, and it’s not Fitz: It’s Eli Pope.”

EW.com says: “It’s always impressive how much drama Scandal can pack into a brief time, and within the first five minutes of this week…Where could they possibly go from here? Well…seems like everywhere.”

New York Daily News says: “My petition for Sally Langston (Kate Burton) to narrate every episode of “Scandal” still stands.”

Refinery says: “Talk about writing a whole bunch of plot just to be able to get to the story you want to tell.”

What are your thoughts on the episode? Should Liv have just said yes to the proposal? Are you glad to see Papa Pope back? Why is David Rosen still around? Are you excited about the prospects of a new shadowy organization like Lazarus One? Sound off below.

Scandal airs Thursdays at 9pm EST on ABC
