Bunheads review – 1×03: ‘Inherit The Wind’

June 26, 2012 by yellowwait

After last week’s episode saw Michelle (Sutton Foster) inherit everything from Hubble, this week we saw the aftermath and it included a rich recluse, an arrest, more kooky town folk and a healthy amount of drinking.

We also got to see more of the girls, but they still feel like a side story on this show

Let’s review. [Read more…]

Bunheads review – 1×02: ‘For Fanny’

Well he is definitely dead. After last week’s curve ball of an ending, some wondered if they had really killed him off. Well they did! So this week Michelle (Sutton Foster) and Fanny (Kelly Bishop) were left to pick up the pieces and try to prepare a service that would be dignified and a real celebration of Hubble’s (Alan Ruck) life. Unfortunately Fanny took some crazy pills and tried to rend out the Intrepid. Let’s discuss.

Girls review – 1×10: ‘She Did It’

In what seemed like a Twilight Zone episode of Girls, Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) finally lost her virginity, Marnie (Allison Williams) made out with Bobby Moynihan, Jessa (Jemima Kirke) got married, and I finally started to like Adam (Adam Driver). Now I am really scaring myself. Let’s discuss.

Bunheads recap – 1×01: ‘Pilot’

Fast, witty dialogue? Check. Kelly Bishop as a somewhat surly matriarch? Check. Charming and whimsical smalltown American setting? Check. This must be an Amy Sherman-Palladino show.

Let’s bitch! [Read more…]

Girls recap – 1×09: ‘Leave Me Alone’

It was the penultimate episode of Girls, and boys were not invited…well, Adam (Adam Driver) was – for maybe a minute. Katherine (Kathryn Hahn) came back to chat with Jessa (Jemima Kirke) and offer her some life advice, while Hannah (Lena Dunham) had a pretty crappy week. Her arch nemesis in University published a book and she had a complete blowout with Marnie (Allison Williams). It was girl-on-girl action as our little show that could examined the bonds between women….or girls.

Let’s take a look… [Read more…]

Girls recap – 1×08: ‘Weirdos Need Girlfriends Too’

Ahh the honeymoon phase of a relationship, when everything seems just perfect and you just can’t stop loving that special person in your life. Every relationship starts off this way…until the cracks start to appear. Like when your partner purposefully pees on you in the shower and thinks it’s the funniest thing.

Did I mention Adam (Adam Driver) was weird?

Let’s discuss. [Read more…]
